Some skeptics have indicated Barack Obama’s 1961 Coast Province General Hospital, Mombasa, British Protectorate of Kenya birth certificate is not genuine on grounds that the skeptics believe that the true, correct or official spelling of Dr. Maganga’s first name is Heltan (Heltan Maganga), as opposed to Helton.
Their evidence: None.
Up until April 3rd, 2013 some skeptics (e.g., GreatKim aka MikTaerg) liked to cite Kenya’s online MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS AND DENTISTS ACT (Cap. 253) which, at some point in time, listed the spelling of Dr. Maganga’s first name as HELTAN (as opposed to HELTON).
However, skeptics were shut down on April 3rd, 2013 when WOBIK issued an investigative report entitled, Mary Othigo, Marry Othigo & Merry Othigo listed in THE MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS AND DENTISTS ACT (Cap. 253).
Dr. Othigo once served as Chief Administrator (2007 thru 2009) of the Coast Province General Hospital and before that as the hospital’s Deputy Chief Administrator (2007).
I met Dr. Othigo on the 19th day of February 2009 while I was physically present at the Coast Province General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya. I didn’t know who she was (i.e., what her name was) until some point in 2011 when I stumbled upon an online pool of old and new photographs of a woman who I recognized to be the hospital administrator who I met and spoke with back in February of 2009.
How do we know which spelling is true, correct, accurate of official when there are at least three (3) different spellings for Dr. Othigo’s first name listed in THE MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS AND DENTISTS ACT (Cap. 253)?
1. Merry Jennifer Othigo
2. Marry Jennifer Othigo
3. Mary Jennifer Oteino Othigo
In light of the fact that we now know of three (3) variant spellings of Dr. Othigo’s first name having been listed in Kenya’s MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS AND DENTISTS ACT (Cap. 253) I do not see how any levelheaded, objective and conscientious minded person could even considering continuing to cite Kenya’s MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS AND DENTISTS ACT (Cap. 253) as evidence of the true, correct or accurate spelling of Dr. Maganga’s first name.
We do, however, have examples of real life misspellings on other official certificates, some of which were issued right here in the United States of America.
Meghan Leah McNeice graduated from Radford University this year (May, 2013) with a Bachelor of Science in Media Studies. Her diploma, pictured at the head of this report, spells the State of Virginia as Virgina.
According to Joe Carpenter, Radford’s chief communications officer, 1,481 undergraduate and graduate diplomas, from fall 2012 and spring 2013, contained the following two (2) spelling errors:
1. “Virginia” being misspelled Virgina
2. “thereto” being misspelled therto
To date, no one, not even Obot in Chief, GreatKim aka MikTaerg, has been able to submit tangible conclusive evidence that would support a true, correct or official spelling of Dr. Maganga’s first name nor Dr. Othigo’s first name (not to mention her middle name which has been spelled several different ways).
Perhaps someday down the road, in 50 years or so, some adventuresome sociologist will stumble upon Meghan Leah McNeice’s diploma from Radford University and, at that time, a new generation of callow, narrow-minded, short-sighted and biased skeptics will proclaim that the Radford University diploma is a crude forgery.

The Retention Registrer has just been updated on the the medicalboard of Kenya website. It is a statutory (government) authority.
here are the registratione for Maganga and Othigo:
Dr. MAGANGA HELTAN MNJAMA 1994-06-17 A3636 P.O BOX 41009 – 80100 MOMBASA MBChB(Nairobi) 1993 M.Med(Surg)(Nbi) 2001 General Surgery
Dr. OTHIGO MERRY JENNIFER 1986-02-05 A2465 P.O BOX 91208 – 80100 MOMBASA MD(Lvov) 1977 PhD(Obs/Gynae)(Lvov) 1983 Obstetrics and Gynaecology
http://medicalboard.co.ke/
plus dr. Maganga has opened Scribd, Twitter, Facebbok, LinkedIn accounts. In all he calls himself Heltan.
Remember Lucas, the problem with your misspellings is that you performed them twice: on the stamp and in signature.
Add the fact that he wasn’t even Chief Administrator on the stamped date. Ok, you said Othigo gave it to you.
So Lucas, you are a very meticulous and scrupulous researcher. You found Helton on an online article from Kenya and you copied the name. Unfortunately it was wrong. No way our of this my friend.
and here are the required documents to apply for permanent registration:
http://medicalboard.co.ke/resources/REGISTRATION_AS_MED_DENT.pdf
as you can see the requirements (passport or ID) don’t leave much space for foolong your audience with bizarre naming theories
I realize the following dalliance is totally unscientific. However, just for curiosity sake, I just did some Google Searching and obtained the following results:
“virgina state” – 27,400 hits
For example:
“Virgina State University Mock Interview Session” – (obviously, a forgery – LOL)
http://www.richmondfed.org/conferences_and_events/about_us/2013/vsu_mock_int_20130222.cfm
“heltan maganga” – 713 hits
“helton maganga” – 3,960 hits – (The doctor’s first name spelling of ‘Helton’ appears on the authentic Lucas Daniel Smith, Obama Kenyan Birth Certificate)
Bruce,
since when are Google hits our official spellchecker ? Google hits results are also the product of spamming. In order to perform a more telling survey you would have to do some more advanced search excluding, as an axample, birther and obot sites (this can be done with -Obama, -Certificate, -Birth). Time range is important as well, you could limit the time range to before the date of Lucas first posting of his document. Also you could narrow search to PDF’s – but still maintaining the other limitations. Then you would have to illustrate the results of your search explaining the criteria you adopted. You would also allow for peer-reviewing (peer does not mean like minded. Lucas is slowly beginning to understand this concept).
Stay well

Are you are done pretending that we haven’t already (been discussed in 3 blog reports now) discredited your source?
Your source has listed Dr. Othigo as:
1. Merry Jennifer Othigo
2. Marry Jennifer Othigo
3. Mary Jennifer Oteino Othigo
Please find something new. Thank you.
how dare you, silly scammer, discreted a GOVERNMENT source (not my source) !
Now here is what I suggest you do:
the Registrar is public, write them and have them verify the names. The ones they have taken from the prescribed personal id documents. It is in your interest to do so, I have nothing to prove. You instead must find corroborating – and possibly official – evidence to your outlandish thesis. So please, stop spinning in circles, and look where you have to. You have written tons of letters to not intersted congressmen, you can spend your precious ten minutes to email the registrar.
btw. Why not send the Registrar a copy of your certificate ? Let’s have their opinion
