Skeptics have indicated that Stanley Ann Dunham (Obama’s mother) could not have traveled, by air, from Kenya to the United States in August 1961.
What proof do these skeptics offer?
They cite a United States Department of Justice Annual Report (1962) of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) which indicates that, from June 30th 1961 thru June 30th 1962, there were zero (0) US citizens who traveled, by air, from Kenya to the United States
The skeptics also indicate that Barack Obama Sr. could not have traveled, by air, from Kenya to the United States in August 1961.
They cite the same 1962 Annual Report as well because it also indicates that, from June 30th 1961 thru June 30th 1962, there was only one (1) alien (non-US citizen) who traveled, by air, from the Kenya to the United States. Skeptics indicate that Stanley Ann Dunham would have been traveling with a newborn baby (Obama, II) who would have been an alien under US law, if born in Kenya, so he and his alien father (Obama, Sr.) could not have both arrived in the United States by air.
You can read all about it at Dr. Conspiracy’s (aka Kevin Wayne Davidson) website in an article he published on March 24th 2012, Born in Africa myth crushed under weight of its complexity.
Please also take a moment to review the document (look for Kenya) which the skeptics cite:

At first glance the data for Kenya appear to support the claims put forth by the skeptics regarding air travel and that Stanely Ann Dunham and Barack Obama Sr could not have traveled, by airplane, from Kenya to the United States in August 1961.
The problem with these claims is that the data contained in these USDJ Annual Reports of the INS is inaccurate and erroneous.
We here at WOBIK have proof:
In August of 1959 Barack Obama, Sr. departed Nairobi, Kenya (Kenya Colony) for the United States.
He boarded an airplane at Embakasi Airport in Nairobi, Kenya.
[NOTE: After Kenya’s independence in 1964, the airport was renamed Nairobi International Airport. Sometimes after the 1978 death of Kenya’s first post colonial President, Jomo Kenyatta, the airport was renamed Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.]
The airplane made a brief stopover in Rome, Italy.
The airplane also touched down in Paris, France at Orly International Airport.
On August 9th 1959 Barack Obama, Sr. landed in New York at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
However, if you review (look for Kenya) the United States Department of Justice Annual Report (1960) of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) you will see that it indicates that, from June 30th 1959 thru June 30th 1960, there were zero (0) aliens (non-US citizen) who traveled, by air, from Kenya to the United States. Moreover, the report indicates that there were also zero (0) US citizens who traveled from Kenya to the United States. Supposedly, no one at all traveled, by air, from Kenya to the United States.
https://archive.org/stream/annualreportofim1960unit#page/66/mode/1up
Conclusion:
Barack Obama, Sr. traveled, by air, from Kenya to the United States in August 1959.
The 1960 USDJ Annual Report for the INS indicates that from June 30th 1959 thru June 30th 1960 no one traveled, by air, from Kenya to the United States.
Evidently these USDJ Annual Report for the INS are flawed and unreliable.
The annual report from 1962 cannot be used as evidence to rule out the possibility of the following individuals traveling (by air) from Kenya to the United States in August 1961:
1. Stanley Ann Dunham
2. Barack Obama, II
3. Barack Obama, Sr.

@ Bruce:
but you still cannot explain a couple of things
1) in august 1961 obama sr was taking a summer course, and is on record as having attended
2) ann dunham did not have her first passport issued until 1965, which means she would not have been able to enter kenya, nor return to the united states.

It appears that one or two readers at the Birther Report have spotted a historical inaccuracy within this report.
In 1959 there was no John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. There was an airport at that location in New York but it was not named John F. Kennedy until 1963.
In 1959 the airport was called Idlewild Airport.
I’m thankful that the readers have taken the time to point out this historical inaccuracy.
All that I can say is that I have quoted a Kenyan source who has in his possession of Barack Obama, Sr.’s Kenyan passport.
I assume that what has happened is that the Kenyan source has referred to the airport by it’s current name rather than by its previous name. In any event, its the same airport.
I also acknowledge that the Kenyan source does use the historically accurate (1959) name for the airport in Nairobi, Kenya. However, the source is himself a Kenyan and its likely that he knows the historically accurate name and, for whatever reason(s), made a point of using it in this particular instance.
Other than all of the above, this is just another culture difference which I’ve been aware of long before I ever heard of Barack Obama.
Some cultures in Africa and black Latin American don’t place particularly high values on calender dates and official spellings or correct names.
In America and white Europe the culture is what I would call anal retentive when it comes to calender dates and official spelling or correct names.
This shows itself in both written and verbal communication. In America and white Europe there’s typically a reference to numbers, dates, times and careful attention paid to correct names (whether they be historically accurate or spelled correctly).
Many other cultures just don’t place the same value on these sorts of things.
I’m fairly certain that my Kenyan source sees nothing wrong or incorrect with the use of John F. Kennedy Airport (which is the airport’s present name) when referring to events that took place at the airport in 1959 (when the airport, at that point in time, was called Idlewild Airport).
“In August of 1959 Barack Obama, Sr. departed Nairobi, Kenya (Kenya Colony) for the United States.”
Says Lucas Smith. If Barack Obama, Sr., didn’t depart in August, that might explain the INS’s report.
“All that I can say is that I have quoted a Kenyan source who has in his possession of Barack Obama, Sr.’s Kenyan passport.”
Says Lucas Smith. Why not just post the relevant images of the passport?
“I assume that what has happened is that the Kenyan source has referred to the airport by it’s current name [JFK] rather than by its previous name. ”
Others might assume that this mysterious witness doesn’t exist, or is a liar.
“Some cultures in Africa and black Latin American don’t place particularly high values on calender dates and official spellings or correct names.”

1. What about about first African Airlift (Tom Mboya and the African-American Students Foundation) of Kenya students which arrived in New York on September 11th 1959?
2. The 1960 INS report is supposed to contain all data between the the dates of June 30th 1959 thru June 30th 1960. You are suggesting that Barack Obama, Sr. did not arrive in the USA between those dates. That doesn’t make any sense at all. You’d better consult with skeptic friends before posting embarrassing comments like that one.
The images of the passport have already been posted here at WOBIK, then at the BirtherReport and then at The Fogbow.
ibid
Nothing racist about. I’m a sociologist. Its not my fault that the cultural values found in white Europe and America include teaching their offspring to be anal retentive in the keeping of calender days, units of time within a day and official or correct spellings. While they often excel in the keeping of records they often fall behind in other areas where some cultures in Africa and black Latin American are far more advanced.
> The problem with these claims is that the data contained in these USDJ Annual Reports of the INS is inaccurate and erroneous.
> We here at WOBIK have proof
Again the unscientific method of “because X made an error stating Y in Z, this proves X also made an error stating X’ in Z'”.
The only thing you “prove” is “people make mistakes sometimes”.
Neither does this prove that the cited number from the 1962 report is false nor does your “Kenyans make spelling mistakes” find prove that your fake BC – where the hospital director misspelled his own (!) name – is real.
Smith’s theories do seem to have a predictable flawed logic about them, but the same could be said of all birther theories.
@ Lucas Daniel Smith:
You are suggesting that Barack Obama, Sr. did not arrive in the USA between those dates.
I am saying you have not supplied evidence that Obama, Sr., embarked from Kenya (and evidence of his mode of embarkation) between those dates.
The images of the passport have already been posted here at WOBIK
Then it should be little effort to link to an image of Obama, Sr.’s passport that depicts when he embarked from Kenya.
I’m a sociologist.
You are not a sociologist; you are a felon and a grifter. The nonsense you invent may impress Bruce to open his wallet, but that does not make anything you spew to be true.

Its appears that you are putting forth some sort of conspiracy theory regarding Barack Obama, Sr. and his journey from Kenya to United States in the year 1959.
Evidence of the said trip is abundant. A number of biographies have been written and his trip has been referenced in many other books such as those written about the Tom Mboya’s African Airlifts. (NOTE: Obama, Sr. was NOT an airliftee and he financed his own tickets probably with some help from Elizabeth Mooney and Helen Roberts. Obama, Sr. did received a scholarship through Tom Mboya’s African-American Students Foundation and occasional grants for books and expenses.)
Open a book and read. Stop be lazing. Or, at very least, consult with other skeptics before posting embarrassing comments.

That may just be the point. I mean, why bother refuting skeptics, when you have one person buying what you have to say wholesale? Especially when that one person is handing you thousands of dollars at a time, with no questions asked.

No; it appears you have a serious reading comprehension problem.
You said that Obama, Sr., embarked for the United States from Kenya by air in August 1959. When he embarked, from where, and Obama, Sr.’s mode of transportation is critical to your hypothesis about the INS’s 1959-1960 statistics.
Your “source” for this critical information about his embarkation is some unknown person, who you claim has told you that he possesses Obama, Sr.’s passport.
You claim that images of Obama, Sr.’s passport that would support your hypothesis have already been posted on this site (and elsewhere). Yet when asked for a link to these images, you cannot provide one.
Just like you cannot provide images of your own passport that would document your claim that you have ever traveled to Kenya.
Just like you cannot provide images of documents supporting your ridiculous claim that Kenya is seeking to extradite you.
It is entirely possible that Obama, Sr., did embark by air from Kenya in August 1959. What is notable, however, is that Lucas Smith cannot provide evidence to document his assertions.
This is either a very involved performance piece, or Lucas is hoping to cover his lies with more lies that are completely unrelated to the previous lies. You know, get people to focus on the new lies, so they’ll leave the old ones alone.
@ Langolier:
Kinda like the whole, ” I need to catch bad guy X to escape extradition.”
Say LLDS, whatever happened to the lawsuit against those who ruined your 3 million dollar POSFKBC sale to Myron whatshisname?
HAHAHAHHAHAHA.
You do realize that no one ever wanted to see ANOTHER American entry stamp from your passport.
Where you enter doesn’t indicate where you have been.
