TOO DAMN BIG . If I had a hundred million dollars , I would not have a house this size . However ~ I do greatly love timber structures and log houses . I worked on building a house of cypress logs near West Palm Beach , Florida , and a motel plus Tony Roma ' s restaurant with laminated open beam ceiling in 4 different areas . A lady who live in a 1925 house hired me to design and build a cypress beam patio roof ~ 16 feet wide and 36 feet long . There are no nails in the construction ~ the whole thing is fastened together with large lag screws and notched beams . To cut the beams and posts , i used a circular saw with a blade 16 inches across .
