GIOACHINO ROSSINI, THE BARBER OF SEVILLE, OVERTURE, LOONEY TUNES TRIBUTE

BRUCE , once again you have posted some of my favorite music . I was in the chorus onstage with Palm Beach Opera when we performed " Il Barbiere de Seville " . It is already a major ' comic opera " even before the Bugs Bunny version . Two of the most hilarious parts are : When the gendarme try to arrest Count Almaviva , he opens his coat and displays many medals showing his identity . The seargent of the guard has his eyes bulging and he backs up like a crawdad in awe and amazement . A guy named Harry played the part of the seargent and he cracked me up with his gaunt expression so that I could not sing my part .
The other event was when the music teacher caught Don Bartolo snoozing , he stole some snuff from the snuff box of Bartolo . Again , i cracked up .
I have tried to sing the famous aria by Figaro ( Largo al Factotum de la Citta ) , but it is very difficult .
