    Excerpt:

Ferrari is set to unveil a new super-Ferrari next week which is expected to cost over £2million and have in excess of 1000 brake horsepower.

The new FXX K is a souped-up version of the Italian car manufacturers' LaFerrari, which was the Italian car manufacturers fastest ever road-legal car.

The LaFerrari, which had just under 800bhp, could reach 217mph. The new model has another 200bhp and can accelerate from 0-62mph in less than three second.

Although the exact cost of the vehicle has not been released, the limited edition track car is expected to cost in excess of £2million.

By ignoring regulations for road and race cars, Ferrari has built a 'completely uncompromising' vehicle designed to give 'an unprecedented driving experience'.

It has been designed solely with the racetrack in mind and has a 50 per cent increase in downforce to boost cornering.

The 'K' in the name is a reference to the 'KERS' - the kinetic energy recovery system - it adopts in maximising its track performance.

Befitting of a speed machine, the car will have a deafening roar. Ferrari engineers removed the silencers from the hybrid race car's exhaust system.

Ferrari announced the first details of the FXXK yesterday ahead of its global debut in Abu Dhabi next week.

Ferrari said: 'Unfettered by homologation and racing regulations, the FXX K will never be used in competition.

'It was, in fact, developed to be completely uncompromising, incorporating technological innovations that will guarantee an unprecedented driving experience to the exclusive group of Client-Test Drivers with whom the Prancing Horse will roll out a test programme over the coming two years.'

Ferrari FXX K LaFerrari with 1050 hp V12

    From Wikipedia:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaFerrari

The FXX-K is an track-exclusive, non road-legal variant of the LaFerrari, successor of the FXX, FXX Evo, 599XX and 599XX EVO. The car uses the same 6.3L V12 of the regular LaFerrari, but with 1035 HP, and uses the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS or ERS-K) found in F1 cars. It includes 4 driving modes: Qualify (max performance on short distance), Long Run (for long distance driving), Fast Charge (for faster recharging of the battery) and Manual Boost, that uses all the power of the engine and batteries for maximum torque, cornering and speed. It has F1-based tech, including the E-Diff electronic differential, F1-Trac traction control and racing ABS brakes, all controled from the center console (Manettino). Like the FXX and 599XX before it, the FXX-K it's part of Ferrari's Client Test Driver program, that allows owners of XX cars, to drive in special tracks, collecting data for use in future Ferrari road and race cars. The front of the car has a large splitter and twin-profile spoiler, the headlights are very small for improving aerodynamics. In the rear, the tail is higher and includes a mobile spoiler with a tailfin and a small wing in the end of each fin, that maximizes the downforce. Anounnced December 3 in Ferrari's home page, it will be officially shown on Yas Marina Circuit on December 5.

BRUCE , thank you once more or the video of FERRARI . my favorite car for life . It sounds like a hyper tuned v 8 engine , and I still prefer the screaming V 12 which bounces the tach at 10,000 RPM . One time in West Palm Beach , Florida I visited a shop where they work on such cars , and I saw a V - 12 engine opened up . It has small cylinders and pistons but it is a fantastic machine . There are many Ferrari , Maserati , Lambhorgini and other cars in showrooms at Fort Lauderdale , Florida .
