Young Obama's transsexual nanny shares memories

"Every minute detail of the life of the President of the United States, Barack Obama has been seemingly examined, either by himself in his book Dreams Of My Father or the wider media community.
The whole of Obama's multi-coloured and multi-reconstituted family, from Kenya to Indonesia via Hawaii, have been under the media microscope. But, henceforth, the mantle has fallen on Evie, the nanny who cared for little Barry (Barack Obama's nickname when he was young).
However, Evie's case is different. She is a transsexual. Turdi is Evie's birth name, given that she was born a man. But Turdi considered himself a "woman".
For several years, Evie lived as a man during the day, reserving her high heels and lipstick for the night, especially during those years when she was caring for little Barry and his sister, Maya, between 1969 and 1971.
When Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, and her new Indonesian husband, Lolo Soetoro, left the country, Evie had no other choice but to turn to prostitution to make a living.
Today, at 66 years of age, Evie is posing for the cameras and talking about her difficult life. Abuses suffered in a country where transsexuals are constant victims of violence.
It was by virtue of an old photograph that appeared in a local newspaper that Evie recognised the family that had once employed her as both nanny and cook. Since then, she has been sharing her memories of the eight year old boy, in front of whom she had always kept a very "masculine appearance".
"He was curious and always wanted to know about everything, but he never asked me any questions and treated me normally," she says. "Barry never discriminated. He was friends with everyone. He was an easy going boy, who laughed and joked a lot."
The White House has not commented on Evie's interviews."
