    Friday, January 28, 2011

Adding to its developing reputation for secrecy, the Abercrombie Administration has now clearly lied about at least one aspect of the sudden withdrawal of Dr Neal Palafox’s DoH nomination.

In a short news release January 26, the administration clearly stated that Palafox had asked Governor Abercrombie to withdraw his nomination:

“Dr. Neal Palafox today asked Governor Neil Abercrombie to withdraw his nomination for Director of the State Department of Health. Governor Abercrombie accepted Dr. Palafox’s request and will make a new appointment for the Health Director as soon as possible.”

But this morning’s Star-Advertiser reveals that it was Abercrombie who insisted that Palafox withdraw.

“Gov. Neil Abercrombie asked Dr. Neal Palafox to withdraw his nomination as director of the state Department of Health, but the governor’s staff has declined to publicly disclose the reason….

“While the governor’s staff would not discuss the reasons or circumstances surrounding the sudden departure, Donalyn Dela Cruz, the governor’s spokeswoman, confirmed last night that it was the governor and not Palafox who asked for the withdrawal.”

This only adds to the unanswered questions surrounding the sudden withdrawal. Dr. Palafox is alleged to be the subject of an investigation into medical billing fraud. Whatever advantage the prosecutor’s office might have had from that information being secret has now been lost, yet the public knows nothing about this other than a vague allegation which AP describes as: “TV news reports citing anonymous sources claiming he was under investigation for medical billing fraud.”

And Palafox himself says he knew nothing about it at all. His attorney Brook Hart told the Star-Advertiser:

“He did not volunteer it on his own. He had no idea why the governor asked him to resign. But he did because the governor asked him to do so. He has no information at this point why there’s an investigation, what the investigation is about or even a hint about what it is that somebody is claiming that he did wrong. It’s a complete mystery.”

It is always best to keep a lie simple. And right now “medical billing fraud” is a very simple story. There are no victims to interview. No co-conspirators to question. No records to examine. None of the things which might give credence to the allegation.

Is Palafox being smeared in the media and hounded from office because somehow his nomination interfered with the agenda of other political forces?

(UPDATE) HNN January 28 has an interesting suggestion:

Hart says the timing of the investigation is somewhat suspicious. In Dr. Palafox’s short time as health director he did decide to lay off some powerful people in the department, but his lawyer has no idea if that has anything to do with the case.

A January 27 AP article has a very odd denial:

U.S. Sen. Daniel Inouye’s office said allegations that he pressured Abercrombie to oust Palafox are false. “Sen. Inouye and his staff stand ready to assist Gov. Abercrombie and his administration in whatever way possible,” said Inouye spokesman Peter Boylan.

Why would Inouye be asked about this? Who is making “allegations that (Inouye) pressured Abercrombie to oust Palafox?” Nobody is telling.

In the same AP article, Palafox is quoted saying:

“I get handed these e-mails about investigations and so forth, but I have no clue. I’m lost.”

What a coincidence! The new HDOH director and protector of Barry’s HI BC worked in the pediatric ER at Kapiolani for 15 years from 1985 through 2000, presumably with access to BC records, and also was a Punahou grad...possibly there when Barry was there...possibly even being in his same class?

I’m not finding what class she was in at Punahou yet...but if she got out of med school in 1985 and Kapiolai ER was her first job, she might be just about Barry’s age or a few years older.

    Eleanor C. Nordyke
    Jan. 17, 2014
When President Barack Obama was attacked by those who questioned his Hawaii birth, Eleanor C. Nordyke proudly came forward with the birth certificates of her own twin daughters, born at the same hospital on the day after the president.
The numbers on the twins’ birth certificates were only a few digits away from the president’s, a fact Nordyke offered up in support of the authenticity of Obama’s certificate. Conspiracy theorists were unimpressed and actually found ways to weave Nordyke into the birther conspiracy.
Her daughter, Mary Ellen Nordyke-Grace, said the incident was emblematic of her mother’s zeal for what she believed in.
“She really took on a passion for certain causes,” she said. “She was known for her intellect, drive for excellence, generosity, perseverance, ‘can-do’ positive attitude, and passion for projects and causes.”
The author and historian died Jan. 17 at age 86. She was the primary author of “The Peopling of Hawaii” (1977, 1989), “I’m Third: An American Boy in Depression Years” (2003), and “Pacific Images: Views from Captain Cook’s Third Voyage” (1999, 2008).
A resident of Manoa Valley for nearly 60 years, Nordyke retired from the East-West Center Population Institute after a 20-year-plus affiliation.
After she appeared in the Honolulu Advertiser in 2009 holding up her twins’ birth certificates, birthers questioned their authenticity and suggested her motivation was somehow tied with her East-West Center link with Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, who studied there.
Nordyke came to Hawaii in the 1930s, when her father, Ralph G. Cole, served as an executive with the YMCA of Honolulu. After earning her nursing degree at Stanford University in 1950, she married Dr. Robert A. Nordyke.
They returned in 1960 to Honolulu, where her husband started his 35-year career in nuclear medicine at Straub Clinic & Hospital. She gained interest in the population field during her graduate work in public health at the University of Hawaii.
She was an active member of the Hawaiian Historical Society, Captain Cook Society in the United Kingdom, YMCA Camp Erdman board, Friends of the John A. Burns School of Medicine, Stanford Club of Hawaii, Adventure Club and Punahou School Class of 1945. She also was a volunteer at Straub.
She is survived by children Mary Ellen Nordyke-Grace, Carolyn Nordyke Cozzette, Dr. Thomas James Nordyke, Susan Elizabeth Bell and Gretchen (Nini) Carter Worthington; brother Ralph N. Cole; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be held at Central Union Church on Feb. 17 at 4:30 p.m. Visitation is at 4 p.m., with a reception to follow the funeral.
Donations in her name may be sent c/o Nina Mullally, Straub Clinic & Hospital, 888 S. King St., Honolulu, HI 96813; or c/o Mandy MacMahan, YMCA of Hono*lulu, YMCA Camp Erdman, 69-385 Farrington Highway, Waialua, HI 96791.

What that obituary tells me is that the woman went to her death believing what she said, that Stanley Ann Dunham must have been in that same hospital at the same time she was, although she didn’t see her. Her daughters must have felt so strongly about their mother needing to be right, they had that included in her obtituary. The entire fiasco about the birth certificate must have weighed on all their minds, it was even suggested that the Nordyke documents were fakes because they were not numbered in the order of birth according to the date on the obviously forged document.
The girls were born on August 5, yet their numbers end in 37 & 38, whereas the fake, dated August 4, ends in 41.

Which is a major problem if we are to believe that Stanley Ann Dunham gave birth at Kapiolani one day before the twins were born.

But it’s not a problem if that number 41 was one of a batch of birth documents forwarded to the HDOH from the Wahiawa Hospital.

The Local Registrar indicated that the data received from the hospitals was entered in batches, and The Daily Pen blog did a fine job of showing how the four births at Wahiawa on August 4 were entered and numbered AFTER the Kapiolani births were dealt with and numbered.

So then you would have number 41 appear to be out of sequence. Which wouldn’t have mattered at all, if that number was issued to a living individual born at Wahiawah Hospital.

Someone like Virginia, had she lived, would be walking around using that certificate and no one would ever say, your certificate number isn’t in sequence, why would that be?

So it seems you need to be able to see just what might have happened that caused this. I’ve thought about it long and hard, and offer this solution:

The death notice for the child that died was published on August 8. That’s the same date the Local Registrar was presented with the data of the birth of an individual named as BHO2 (for short) - this data was false. The person who submitted this data must also have been involved in the removal of the document that arrived from Wahiawah for Virginia.

The telling mistake made at this point was it was assumed that because Virginia died at Kapiolani, she was born there.

When the emergency treatment required for Virginia resulted in her transfer to Kapiolani, her birth data made its normal way from Wahiawah to the HDOH and sat there in the batch for that day, and was still there on August 8, when her death announcement appeared in the paper under the name of her father.

The number 41 that coincides with her time and place of birth, now replaced by a fake document, generated the birth announcement and all that remained of the birth record of Virginia is the number. Her data probably ended up in someones socks...

Thus, some time later, when funeral arrangements were being made, and her name had to be corrected (they couldn’t bury her under her fathers name) and no birth record was found at the HDOH, they issued a BC some 400+ numbers in advance of her actual birth, some two weeks later.

I’m sure there will be others here who can offer a better solution, do, by all means, have a go at it.

But if that’s what actually went on, then we can understand Eleanour Nordyke’s reaction, and it might also throw some light on what Fuddy did. She was also convinced his birth record was a genuine entry, with a few minor details (like the maiden name of the mother for example) requiring a little ‘adjustment’.

What is missing in our knowledge can be further pinned down by what it was that Onaka did NOT VERIFY.

BLAH , BLAH , BLAH , etc . The real crux of this non - information is the fact that Nordyke 's " authentic " birth certificates were negative image , like my own ( black background , white lettering ) . The phony , fake , forged , photoshop rag of toilet paper posted by frauds at our WHITEHOUSE is totally unlike the actual documents of Nordyke ~ being a patterned green background with black type .
