For those that haven't had a chance to read the MFR filed on behalf of Sheriff Arpaio in the civil contempt case;

Team Arpaio says Judge Snow expanded the Fed-selected monitor's investigatory powers into matters not related to the civil contempt case including the investigation into the authenticity of Obama's birth certificate.

Page 10 via the Motion for Recusal or Disqualification of District Court Judge G. Murray Snow:

Accordingly, despite the Ninth Circuit’s recent Order, Judge Snow has improperly expanded the authority and investigatory powers of the Monitor into matters completely immaterial and irrelevant to the contempt proceedings and issues, as framed by Judge Snow’s Order to Show Cause (e.g., the Grissom and Montgomery investigations, and most recently MCSO’s long past investigation into the authenticity of President Obama’s birth certificate).

III. JUDGE SNOW MUST RECUSE HIMSELF FROM THIS ACTION.

So, will Judge Snow be removed from the case? I personally don't think he will recuse himself...
