EDITORIAL :
Where does Georgia Republican Governor, Nathan Deal, now stand regarding the ongoing 'Obama Ballot Challenge' in Georgia?
What behind-the-scenes influence, if any, is he likely to exert in the Ballot Challenge fight, based on his previous experiences in dealing with Obama?
As many readers of this forum will probably recall, Nathan Deal, back in late fall 2009 while he was still a GA Congressman, joined with a group of 10 other Congressman to send a letter to Obama requesting to see a copy of his birth certificate.
There has been no public acknowledgement that Deal ever received a reply back from Obama to this reasonable request. It is very likely that Obama simply ignored the request, as he has done with so many similar requests since that time.
Nathan Deal has since been elected to the powerful position of Governor of Georgia.
The issue of Obama's eligibility to be placed on 2012 ballot in Georgia will be discussed on January 26 in Judge Michael Malihi's court.
I think it is likely that Governor Deal now harbors some very justifiable resentment to the shabby treatment he received as a Georgia Congressman, from an arrogant and evasive Obama, who refused to comply with his reasonable request for eligibility documentation about 2 years ago.
I think it is possible that Deal may quietly and behind-the-scenes, use his political influence to help insure that the case against Obama being heard by Judge Malihi, is given fair and proper treatment.
The case is discussed in the 1/6/2012 article by Joe Wolverton II in the 'New American', which is linked below:

It will be interesting to watch what important events transpire in Judge Malihi's court on January 26th! I hope Mr. Deal will be providing all the political influence he can, behind-the-scenes, to insure the hearing is conducted in a fair and proper manner!
