Article II Section 1 Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution:

Presidents 1-7,9 were all "Citizens at the time of the adoption of this Constitution" and all were NOT born in the U.S. to U.S. Citizen parents because the U.S. didn't exist. Those were the Presidents eligible via the "grandfather clause" and the ONLY naturalized Citizens of the United States eligible for the office of President. Starting with President 8, 10-20, 22-43 were all natural born Citizens born IN the United States to TWO U.S. Citizen parents. Presidents 21 and 44 were/are both ineligible for the office but perpetrated lies to gain access to the office.

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
