OBAMA REGIME DENIES “ORDERING” WIRETAP; NYT SAYS WIRETAP INFO PROVIDED TO “THE WHITE HOUSE”

    The Post & Email

    by Sharon Rondeau
    3/5/2017

    Excerpt:

(Mar. 5, 2017) — Following Donald Trump’s allegations of his office at Trump Tower having been wiretapped by the Obama regime shortly before the November elections, the mainstream media is visibly pushing back with statements from former Obama officials, including former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper, to the contrary.

When answering questions of the Senate Intelligence Committee in March 2013 regarding surveillance of American citizens by the U.S. intelligence community, Clapper told Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) that the communications of U.S. citizens were “not wittingly” collected. His claim was belied three months later by the revelations of former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, who provided documents to The Guardian about the PRISM program and other means used to collect virtually all of the emails and telephone metadata on U.S. citizens not suspected of terrorist or criminal activity.

In November, U.S. News & World Report characterized Clapper’s testimony to the Senate committee as “admittedly false,” with some in Congress calling for Clapper’s prosecution.

According to Attorney Larry Klayman, who represents former NSA and CIA contractor Dennis Montgomery, Clapper authorized data-collection on many Americans “illegally.”

Are the Democrats scrambling for a fall guy on the wiretap of Trump campaign?

    American Thinker / Blog

    by Thomas Lifson
    3/7/2017

    Excerpt:

It appears to that a trap has just sprung on the Democrats, and they need a fall guy. And we just got a huge clue as to who might be in the spotlight to take one for the team when it comes to culpability for covertly listening in on the conversations of the opposition party's presidential candidate.

Clarice Feldman explained the mess the Democrats created for themselves – what I am calling a trap – with her customary wit and brilliance on Sunday in "Trump: A Master Tactician Serves Filet After the Russian Soufflé Collapses."

My explanation for their problems is that The Obama and Clinton Gangs were so sure of themselves and their media dominance that they went ahead and made charges of Russian "hacking" and "collusion" with the Trump campaign, based on surveillance of that campaign. President Trump let them work up their outrage until momentum in that direction left them no chance of reversal. Then he made his historic, and much vilified as "unsupported," tweet about a wiretap at Trump Tower and changed the discussion.

Flashback: NYT Admits Wiretaps Used Against Trump

New York Times headline specifically referenced Trump 'wiretaps'

      Infowars.com

      by Adan Salazar
      3/6/2017

      Excerpt:

The New York Times already admitted wiretaps were used against the Trump campaign, despite now claiming there’s “no evidence” of the wiretapping accusations President Trump lodged against the former Obama administration on Saturday.

A New York Times article published on Inauguration Day specifically referenced “Wiretaps” in its headline, though it didn’t specifically mention that Trump himself, or Trump Tower was bugged.

An online version of the same January article substituted the words “Wiretapped Data” for “Intercepted Russian communications” in its headline: “Intercepted Russian Communications Part of Inquiry Into Trump Associates”.

Despite previously reporting on the “wiretaps,” the New York Times on Saturday asserted President Trump had “no evidence” for accusing his predecessor of wiretapping his incoming administration’s communications.
