Excerpts:
"Arizona voters back the so-called “birther bill” requiring President Barack Obama and other presidential candidates to pledge they are American citizens.
But Arizona voters also oppose measures allowing guns into public buildings and letting religious employers grill female employees about their contraception use.
That is according to a new statewide poll by Arizona State University’s Morrison Institute for Public Policy. The same poll shows state voters evenly divided on new abortion restrictions banning most abortions after 20 weeks
.....................................
The poll found 60 percent of Arizona voters back so-called “birther bills”. That idea requires presidential candidates to sign an affidavit that they are native-born American citizens. Such measures are aimed Obama who faces conspiracy theories that he was not born in Hawaii. Only 36 percent of Arizona voters in the ASU poll oppose the concept."
