Alabama Citizen Contacts Chair of Republican Party Re: Vetting Presidential Candidates

    WITH EXPLANATION OF ARTICLE II

    The Post & Email

Open letter from Harold Sorensen to Bill Armistead, Alabama Republican Party
    1/5/2012

    Excerpts:

    "Dear Chairman Armistead:

In 2008, the DNC certified an ineligible candidate, Barack Obama, and thus defrauded the American people. This was a violation of basic voter’s rights and Obama’s subsequent usurpation constitutes the greatest crime ever perpetrated against the American people. Our so-called “representatives” in government, the courts and the media were brazenly complicit and to this day they continue to cover up a crime so egregious that it threatens the founding principles upon which this country was based. ...

Natural Born Citizen requires that both parents be Citizens. United States Supreme Court Minor v. Happersett, 154 U.S. 116, 167 (1874).

As you are no doubt aware we have filed a Temporary Injunction against the Chairman of the Alabama Democratic Party to prevent him from certifying Mr. Obama for Alabama 2012 Primary Ballot Access. Yesterday, a Georgia Judge denied Obama’s Motion to Dismiss and set Trial Date. Other States have similar Obama actions now pending.

Chairman Bill Armistead we expect you to vet every Presidential Candidate to ascertain they are in fact Constitutionally qualified for Office of President of the United States. We are aware that Rick Santorum’s father, Aldo Santorum, was an Italian Immigrant and Willard Mitt Romney’s father, George W. Romney, was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. Therefore, you should obtain their Naturalization Documents to make sure they were in fact Naturalized American Citizens prior to the birth of their Children, Rick May 10, 1998 and Mitt March 12, 1947. Along with their Birth Certificates and Residency requirements this will assure that Rick and Mitt meet the Constitutional requirement of Natural Born Citizen prior to their being Certified for Alabama 2012 Primary Ballot Access."

Knowing something about Mitt's background,I have questioned his eligibility. There is too much to go into in depth but Mitt's great-grandparents were born in the U S and were polygamous Mormons. They fled to Mexico with their children to escape the government's opposition to polygamy. There were almost no immigration laws at that time and knowing both Mexicans & Americans crossed the border as though it wasn't there, I doubt any change in citizenship was done. They would have been American ex-patriots.Ex-patriots or ex-pats is a term still used today for Americans living outside the US.

More children, including Mitt's grandfather, were born in Mexico. Those children would be considered dual citizens. Mitt's grandparents, both born in Mexico to possibly dual (American/Mexican) citizen parents, grew up and married in Mexico. In 1912, during the Mexican Revolution they fled to the US with their children, which included George, Mitt's father, who was born in Chihuahua, Mexico in 1907. Children born to dual citizen parents would be citizens of the country of their birth. They can not inherit dual status. Therefore, George was born a Mexican citizen. (He later ran for the GOP presidental nomination against Nixon. He lost but he clearly was not eligibile for the office of potus)

I have not found any info on whether or not George's parents filed the necessary paperwork to give legal citizenship status to the children born in Mexico. I seriously doubt they did because they never considered themselves Mexicans and what immigration laws existed at that time were very lax. Mexicans & Americans were still jumping back & forth across the border as though it didn't exist. It is most likely George, and his siblings. would be considered illegal. Even George's parents, tho born possible dual citizens, may have been illegal if they didn't file the paperwork needed to document their entry into the U S and clarify their citizenship status.

Now comes Mitt. Was his father, born in Mexico, ever a legal citizen of the US? Or was he still a citizen of Mexico when Mitt was born?

It becomes imperative to very carefully vet all candidates for all public offices to be sure of eligibility.
