"After I founded Judicial Watch in1994 to serve as the people’s watchdog against government corruption, I searched for a “tag line” to explain what our mission was. And that is how I conceived of the motto, “Because no one is above the law!”
During the 1990s and early 2000s, before I decided to leave Judicial Watch to run for the U.S. Senate in Florida, as chairman and general counsel, I worked day and night to bring corrupt judges, lawyers, politicians and other so-called public servants to justice by exposing their dirty deeds, filing court cases and provoking congressional investigatory panels to take action. Of course, Congress’ actions proved as worthless then as they are today. And the courts – so influenced by politics, since federal judges are appointed through political patronage – frequently failed to act as well. However, during this period, there was one federal judge, the Honorable Royce C. Lamberth of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, who did act – and he did so forcefully.
By the grace of God, several of the early lawsuits I brought at Judicial Watch were “randomly” assigned to Judge Lamberth. First the case over the Clintons’ illegal defense fund, then the case against Ron Brown’s Commerce Department, which ripened into the now famous Chinagate scandal, and then, of course, the Filegate case, in which the Clintons had illegally obtained FBI files on their adversaries to use against them. Lamberth, standing tall to the notion that no one is above the law, pried open the can of government deceit and secrecy and permitted me to depose virtually everyone of importance in the Clinton administration, save for the president and first lady themselves. And, had George W. Bush not won the presidency in 2000, I likely would have been permitted to depose the Bonnie and Clyde of American politics as well. Lamberth, a conservative Republican appointee, simply lost interest in pursuing the Clintons after his native Texan won the presidency.
But despite Lamberth’s having gone native – he is now the chief judge of the federal district court in Washington, D.C. – I take my “cowboy hat” off to him for allowing “We the People,” through Judicial Watch, to exercise our own God-given constitutional rights against a dishonest government. No other judge in American history has honored these rights as Judge Lamberth did during my time at Judicial Watch. For this, I am eternally grateful and so, too, should be the American people. Royce, as he always wanted to be called during informal encounters, was an American treasure. Put simply, what other judge would have ruled, as I requested, that a U.S. president committed a crime? This occurred in the context of a discovery dispute in the Filegate case and involved the illegal release of Privacy Act protected information about a woman Bill Clinton had sexually harassed in a pantry off the Oval Office. Her name is Kathleen Willey.
Now, almost a decade later, our government, as well as our society as a whole, has grown even more corrupt than even during the Clinton years. The “regime” of President Barack Hussein Obama – who defrauded the American people to elect him president, his having taken advantage of the people’s political reaction to eight years of a disastrous and failed George W. Bush presidency – is more than a threat to our Judeo-Christian heritage and American way of life. Obama is, plain and simple, the black communist equivalent of the Manchurian candidate, an evil force who is bent on destroying our beloved nation and our religious freedoms. It is no coincidence that Hillary Clinton is his secretary of state.
As witnessed in the last week in particular, the two of them have furthered their scheme to not only harm Israel – the cradle of our Judeo-Christian heritage – but also the United States. As I wrote last week, they released classified national-security information about U.S. intelligence gathering “methods and sources” and war plans involving a potential Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facilities. They did this in two front-page stories in their favorite leftist newspaper, the New York Times. Just yesterday another article in the magazine Foreign Affairs also quotes administration sources as disclosing more national-security information, this time exposing classified material concerning Israel’s planned use of airbases in Azerbaijan to attack neighboring Iran and eliminate the nuclear threat. Clearly, the Obama-Clinton evil duo is releasing this classified information to damage Israel’s intention to do the job on Iranian nuclear facilities the United States should also be involved in. But of course, our “mullah in chief” and his corrupt and compromised secretary of state do not want to eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat, perhaps because they have been bribed by this radical Islamic regime, much as the Clintons were bribed by China in the 1990s as Lamberth allowed me to reveal in the Chinagate case.
The release of this classified information is a treasonous crime for which Obama and Clinton should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and jailed – as it jeopardizes our national security. The American people deserve justice, before justice is too late."
