Mike Zullo has become a key witness in the ongoing contempt hearing because he acted as a liaison between Sheriff Joe Arpaio and a computer contractor during the “Seattle Operation” investigation from 2013-2015. The investigation originated from contractor Dennis Montgomery’s theory that the CIA illegally obtained personal information from thousands of Maricopa County residents. Judge Murray Snow is trying to determine whether there is evidence the MCSO secretly investigated Judge Snow and others in an effort to compromise the Melendres civil rights case.
“I have nothing against this man,” Zullo said, pointing to Judge Snow to his left. “He was a victim like 150,000 other people in this county. That’s what we were looking for. All we cared about was 150,000 people in this county and whether Sheriff Arpaio’s phones were tapped.”
Zullo also lashed out at the plaintiffs’ attorney, Stanley Young, while explaining that the only reason he and MCSO detectives wanted to confirm Judge Snow was a victim of stolen information was to be able to eventually get Snow on their side in a mission to expose the CIA for stealing citizens’ information.
“The plan going forward was to get Montgomery to get this IRS information, this banking information (of Snow), and to walk across the street to this federal judge and get him to see it for himself. There was nothing nefarious here. You don’t understand,” Zullo said, directing his attention to Young and raising his voice. “It wasn’t happening the way you were alleging for four hours. Nobody was trying to hurt this judge.” [...] 12 News.
