"It’s the last week in April, 2012. Six months before November 6 U.S. elections and every nook and cranny of the life of private citizens is filled with the Obamas.
While the mainstream media provide distractions, Obamas In Your Face has reached overkill level.
When Barack Hussein Obama was first presented to the world as the Democrat presidential candidate from Denver’s fake Greek columns, Shepard Fairey’s ‘Hope’ Poster found fame pasted to mailboxes, lamp-posts, in subways, on every imaginable surface in 2008‘s Graffiti en masse. Overseas, running shoes, t-shirts and key rings with the now iconic poster were selling like proverbial hotcakes.
Not only was the ‘Hope’ Poster adopted by Obama’s official campaign, but Fairey’s mixed-media stenciled portrait version of the image was acquired by the Smithsonian Institution for its National Portrait Gallery.
The poster that heralded ‘President Everywhere‘ gained more validity than Obama’s birth certificate ever did.
2008‘s saturation media coverage of Obama The Messiah was only astroturf kid’s stuff compared to the lockdown captive audience strategy that was to follow.
History will some day document how the Obama Poster was only the beginning of an invasion on public concept. Today Obama’s message crops up, non-stop over the Internet; delivers his spam to your inbox on laptops, handheld devices and Ipads, everywhere where people communicate over the World Wide Net. “Just $3 more” for a $6 million Obama fundraising dinner at the private Los Angeles home of George Clooney on May 10 is only the latest.
Living in the continuously technologically advanced real world even the a-political cannot possibly avoid an ever cropping up Barack Hussein Obama—or his Mrs.
While the rest of the world worries about rising gas prices; how the Supreme Court will rule on ObamaCare; while it reads each new detail about prostitutional scandals of the Secret Service, investigation of which will cost taxpayers $1.5 million, and readies for manufactured anarchy to be kicked off by Occupy Wall Street (OWS) on May 1st, the Poster Phenomenon has taken mammoth new roots in a far more deviant direction.
It’s now Barack, Spam King of the Internet, and Michelle, Cameo Queen of Entertainment Television, leading the invasion of public space privacy.
While her husband dominates the Internet, and with only the flimsiest of qualifications, Michelle Obama has invaded the boob tube to become entertainment television’s ‘Cameo Queen’.
“Dain Gainor, of the Media Research Center, said Michelle Obama really is “off the charts” in the number of times she’s appeared in entertainment television cameos, even more so “than I dare say many big name actors and actresses”. (Fox News.com, April 22, 2012).
“Lately, Michelle Obama is no stranger to television entertainment. She’s already outpaced past first ladies, like Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton, in the number of TV appearances she’s made over the first four years of a president’s term.”
If name and face recognition is what wins elections, the overbearing Michelle’s already got it in the bag for her husband.
Since President Obama took office in 2009, Michelle Obama has appeared on television about 44 times, and that number continues to grow.
“During these appearances, Obama is not burdened by questions about unemployment or health care—many of the issues that stir controversy for the White House. Instead, she focuses on her initiatives like “Joining Forces”, which is designed to honor U.S. troops, and “Let’s Move”, which tries to educate people on the danger of childhood obesity.” (Gainor).
How can anyone take to heart a Michelle Obama focus on honoring troops when she’s on the record for telling anti-troop CodePink activists “Keep up the great work” and “We really need you”?
There is no proof of credentials that Michelle Obama was ever a schooled nutritionist, or someone qualified to educate people on the dangers of childhood obesity.
The ready made television Cameo Queen spot for Michelle Obama underlines how the Obamas have always been people of privilege in the scramble of community organizers to the top.
Those wanting a break from a steady diet of the Obamas on the Internet and television won’t get it without turning off the PC or television.
Today’s technology has meandered far off the path of Obama the Poster to fill every nook and cranny of the privacy of the masses."
