    Excerpt:

First they sang “Over The Rainbow” on Good Morning America. And now, during Sunday night’s Grammy Awards coverage, the same group of 21 kids from Newtown, Connecticut will be performing Carly Rae Jepsen‘s mega-hit “Call Me Maybe.”

The AP is reporting that Ryan Seacrest will be interviewing the children live via satellite from Newtown during his pre-Grammy Awards red carpet show on E!.

Sabrina Post, who directs the choir said in a statement, “This opportunity to do something positive lets the kids know that although a lot of things happen in our world that are not pleasant, like this that happened with us in Newtown, there are many giving people and wonderful things that can come out of life, so don’t get discouraged. It teaches them to use their gifts to work through things.”

The Grammy Awards performance comes just one week after another group of students from Sandy Hook Elementary School performed “America The Beautiful” with Jennifer Hudson at the Super Bowl.
