A letter allegedly written by Kitau, a science teacher at a Kenyan primary school, is being revisited as Barack Obama eligibility lawsuits make their way through court dockets in both Alabama and Florida. Born one month after Obama in the same Mombassa hospital, Kitau says this of the Obama, Mombassa birth certificate obtained by Lucas Daniel Smith: “I compared my birth certificate to the one that has been put online by Taitz (Atty. Orly Taitz) and mine is EXACTLY THE SAME.” Kitau goes on to state that being a science teacher makes for natural skepticism, but “I went to an official registrar today and pulled up the picture on the web. They magnified it and determined it to be authentic.” (1)
The Kitau letter has been challenged and even debunked as has the certificate obtained by Smith, but both documents need to undergo further investigation. The name of the registrar, the format, and the type are identical in the Obama Mombasa birth certificate document and the Kitau birth certificate says the internet letter. Letter from Kitau in Mombasa, Kenya:
I happen to be Kenyan. I was born 1 month before Obama at Mombasa medical center. I am a teacher here at the MM Shaw Primary School in Kenya. I compared my birth certificate to the one that has been put on by Taitz and mine is exactly the same.
I even have the same registrar and format. The type is identical.
I am by nature a skeptical person. I teach science here and challenge most things that cannot be proven.
So I went to an official registrar today and pulled up the picture on the web. They magnified it and determined it to be authentic. There is even a plaque with Registrar Lavenders name on it as he was a Brit and was in charge of the Registrar office from 1959 until January of 1964.

Note that the article's author, George Spelvin, is obviously confusing the authentic 'Lucas Daniel Smith, Obama Kenyan Birth Certificate' with the 'Bomford Birth Certificate', which is widely considered to be a forgery. Attorney Orly Taitz filed copies of BOTH these Obama Kenyan Birth Certificates in federal court in August 2009 prior to a hearing before Judge David O. Carter in September 2009.

There is no 'REGISTRAR' listed on the Lucas Daniel Smith document since it is a hospital-generated BC and not a government-generated document.
Thus, the claimed 'Kenyan' author, Kitau, is clearly referencing the 'Bomford' document. Since that document is widely considered to be a forgery, I conclude the entire 'Kitau' story is very likely to be fraudulent as well!
