    Excerpt:

If all goes as planned the Barack Obama University, which was banned in June by Kenyan authorities, will soon begin to admit students.

Director of the school named after US President, Michael Muiga, has called the June 3 closure of the school by the Commission of University Education a mistake.

The commission chairman, Henry Thairu, had alleged that the institution located in Ndenderu, Kiambu county, is being built in a residential area, is unregistered and is meant to dupe Kenyans.

"The institution is aimed at duping unsuspecting students to enrol," Thairu had said.

But Muiga says the university will soon admit students.

He urged the authorities to support the institution which he claims has the nod of Barack Obama's family in Kenya.

The Director revealed plans to build the university's main campus in Nyang'oma Kogelo, Siaya.
