Sharyl Attkisson Hired by Broadcasting Group for ‘Follow the Money’ Investigations

Sharyl Attkisson, the investigative journalist who recently resigned from CBS News amid accusations that they resisted her anti-Obama stories, has signed on to Sinclair, a broadcast group that owns a significant number of local TV stations. Sinclair said Attkisson will file a couple stories per month, and that the group will encourage their stations to run them.

“Sharyl will focus on stories that follow the money and waste watch type of investigations,” Sinclair’s News Director Scott Livingston wrote in a statement Wednesday. “She will be a great fit with our commitment to holding public officials accountable and being a viewer advocate.”
