Donald Trump Primary Night Speech Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke in New York City as primary results came in from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Delaware. Donald Trump concluded his press conference tonight by suggesting that Hillary Clinton‘s only come this far politically because of her gender. Trump was following up on his comment this morning that “the only thing she’s got is the woman card.” He said at his victory speech tonight, “She’s got nothing else going. And frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man, I don’t think she’d get 5 percent of the vote.” Trump proceeded to say that women like him and don’t like Clinton. (He left out his yuge unfavorables with women overall.) Watch above, via CNN. Donald Trump extended his thanks to the media during his victory speech tonight.Yes, seriously.
He joked that “the media’s covered me really fair for the last two hours” before saying more seriously, “They’ve been really very fair over the last few weeks.” Trump also expressed some sympathy for Bernie Sanders over how badly the Democrats have treated him.
