On Thursday, an amateur video surfaced online which appears to show Venezuelan police taking young students captive. The footage showcases Venezuelan police taking students and putting them on motorcycles and driving them away.

The footage, taken at Caracas’ Plaza Altamira, also shows that the woman was confronted and assaulted by a police officer when she was discovered filming the incident.

Venezuelan officials say that 28 have died and 365 have been injured since the start of massive anti-government protests began. Venezuelans began to take to the streets to protest food shortages, high crime, and inflation in early January.
