I was following this case back when I was still working about 18 hour days and I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned this case here at WOBIK.
I’ve shared details and discussed the case with family and friends and have a folder somewhere with videos and information about Ahmaud Arbery (he’s certainly not the nice guy who the Chionists and the Elite (don’t dare call them by any other name) and their mainstream media (MSM) portray him as).
Will try to post more of that later on but for now here’s some basic information about the case:
—> Incident occurred in the town (or something like a town, maybe it’s more of a subdivision adjacent the town of Brunswick) of Satilla Shores in Georgia on February 23, 2020.
—> Defendants are Gregory McMichael and Travis McMichael (father and son) and a third Defendant William “Roddie” Bryan Jr.
—> Gregory McMichael and Travis McMichael (father and son, both are white Americans) are accused of shooting and murdering a physically aggressive convicted criminal Ahmaud Arbery (black American) who was casing the area (where he’d previously broken into houses) when he attacked them.
—> No criminal charges were filed (and there were no plans to file charges) against Gregory McMichael and Travis McMichael until early May of 2020 (more than 70 days after the incident occurred) when William “Roddie” Bryan Jr. provided a video (unknown to the public or the State up until that point) that he had recorded of the incident.
—> Criminal charges, based on the video provided by William “Roddie” Bryan Jr., were then filed against Gregory McMichael and Travis McMichael. Both (father and son) were arrested and have been held in jail since.
—> William “Roddie” Bryan Jr., who provided the video, was also charged and arrested.
—> Defendants are each charged with Malice murder, Felony murder, Aggravated assault, False imprisonment and Criminal attempt.
Closing arguments in their trial were mostly wrapped up today aside from what appears to be a last moment request from the Prosecution to present a rebuttal tomorrow morning in regard to a citizen’s arrest law in Georgia which was repealed in May of 2021 (a year after the incident).
It should also be noted that apparently there’s a juror who keeps falling asleep during trial, including during the closing arguments made today.
Defense lawyers asked for a mistrial today on grounds that the jury is being intimidated by racist blacks outside the Courthouse. Judge wouldn’t grant a mistrial but did acknowledge the severity of this issue and also that of a member of the jury sleeping during trial and closing arguments.
