For what its worth, Reava King, et al. vs. F E Moran Inc, et al., appears to be the last case, of any type, that attorney Barack Obama litigated in federal court.
This civil case was opened on 06.26.2000 and closed on 01.28.2003. The case was filed in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division.
Defendants are listed as follows: F.E. Moran, INC.; Armon, INC.; Thermodyne Mechanical Services, INC.; F.E. Moran Fire Protection, INC.; F.E. Moran, Special Hazard Systems; Fire Protection Industries, INC.; Jadco Research & Engineering, INC., and Arnold Jackson.
For the record, for possible future reference, I want to point out that on page 27 of 27 Barack Obama’s name is listed along with three (3) other attorneys from the same law firm Miner, Barnhill & Galland. The other attorneys provided their identification numbers in the requested blocks on the form. However, Barack Obama’s is blank, no identification number is given. Perhaps the record was redacted now that Barack Obama is the de facto US President? Or perhaps the identification has always been absent on this particular filing?

Obama also fails to check the box indicating that he is a member of the trail bar. I suspect that was because he never actually tried a case in court. That is, he did legal grunt work in the office, but never tried a case. That may explain the paperwork.

Additionally, your explanation regarding the missing Obama identification number on the paperwork might be correct. Although I’d think that Obama would still have an identification number even if he were only conducting the ‘grunt work’ in the office and had never tried case. However, I really and truly do not know.
