   Excellent video, Bruce.

   I too have for so long been bothered when I am surrounded by people who don’t know that it was the Democratic party who called for slavery and who wore the sheets over their faces as they burned crosses and killed blacks.

   The democratic party worked well for whites for along time but now that blacks and other groups, who were once the minorities, are now becoming the majority the democratic party will no longer serve racist whites. Democracy favors the majority, even if it’s for a bad cause.

   After the American Civil War free blacks began signing up to be part of the Republican Party.

   I don’t remember the exact dates but maybe in the 1950 the two parties started switching racially.

   Btw, I don’t really believe that there’s anything inherently great about a Constitutional Republic either. Am I some sort of anarchist then? No, absolutely not.

   But hey, present day China is a Constitutional Republic and so was the former Soviet Union. So I don’t believe that there’s any INHERENTLY great about a constitutional republic.

   I believe that probably any form of government will work depending on whose running the government.

   I’ve experimented at work leading in different ways (sometimes trying to be democratic, sometimes like a dictator and sometimes in representative type of way listening to gripes, following appropriate channels but yet keep things moving as they were while addressing concerns and possibly change things if needed).

   Each of these methods works ok it just depends on how it’s carried out and buy who (depending on their personality, intelligence, aptitude and what they personally believe to be right and wrong).

   Both of the Congos in Africa are Constitutional Republics. Why hasn’t that worked out for them very well for decades now? And does anyone think that life in the People’s Republic of China (they have a Constitution and elections) is like life in the USA?

   I believe that the main advantage of a PROPERLY AND INTELLIGENTLY DRAFTED ‘Constitutional Republic’ IF IT IS FOLLOWED AS WRITTEN AND LEGALLY AMENDED, compared to all other forms of government, is stability and FREEDOM for the nation’s citizens. This is a MAJOR ADVANTAGE.

   Furthermore, I believe that a nation can not be honestly termed a Constitutional Republic, if the laws of its constitution are not being followed. Sadly, I believe the USA has been rapidly drifting (BY DESIGN) away from a Constitutional Republic to an inherently unstable Democracy, a condition that was much feared by our founding fathers.

   Btw, Bruce, don’t get me wrong. I do prefer the Constitutional Republic form of government. It’s just that I don’t believe that it itself is so great. To me it depends on many factors.
