Please exercise your free speech in the comments section below. There are no stipulations of political correctness on this blog. Speak your mind, give us your thoughts, both objective and subjective. Share your ideas, hunches, inklings or your expertise. Please provide recommendation and corrections if you spot errors in fact within the blog report. Lastly, remember that posting a comment is much like casting a vote, so please do so.
I can start drawing up a contract, then. In order to delineate the scope of my representation in the contract and start building the file, I need you to go ahead and email me all the extradition documentation you already have in your possession, including a copy of the warrant itself. This of course includes any official paperwork from Kenya or the Dominican Republic, and any communications you’ve had with any authorities regarding the extradition, particularly whatever notice it was that you received on Thursday regarding the imminency of your extradition and any notices received since then, because it is essential to know what kind of timetable we’re on and precisely what actions are being taken. We’re already past the 48-hour timeframe you mentioned. Also, any paperwork regarding your bond and the conditions thereof, and the current status of your passport.
I’ll also need contact information for the Dominican attorneys you’ve worked with, in order to notify them that I’ll be assisting in your representation on the extradition. If they’re actively involved with the proceedings since Thursday, I’ll need that sooner rather than later, in order to collaborate with them.
You have my e-mail address, and if you’d like to cc: Bruce on the email, I would not object at this time.
It’s been over 24 hours, and I haven’t heard or received anything in reply to the above. And I see now that there hasn’t been a reply here either. If I wasn’t clear about the email address, it’s lorencollins@gmail.com.
It’s necessary to receive this documentation to determine what your representation would need to encompass. Similarly, if the case number (or numbers, if there’s more than one) regarding your extradition aren’t on the paperwork itself, I’ll need those too. I can’t even begin to function as your attorney until after I’m fully informed as to the charges involved in the extradition, what’s transpired thus far in the process, and where you stand right now procedurally.
