As the details behind the Spygate scandal are uncovered, the connections to former President Obama are unearthed.

According to Zero Hedge, the head of opposition research firm Fusion GPS admitted in December 2017 in a court filing that his firm paid the wife of a senior Justice Department official to help dig up damaging information on then-candidate Donald Trump.
Glenn Simpson, co-founder of Fusion GPS, filed the signed declaration in a D.C. court this week affirming that Nellie Ohr, wife of demoted DOJ official Bruce Ohr, was contracted by Fusion through the summer and fall of 2016 “to help our company with its research and analysis of Mr. Trump,” according to the filing. The House Intelligence Committee determined that in November 2016, Simpson met with Bruce Ohr shortly after the election to discuss their findings regarding Russia and Trump. Bruce Ohr lost his senior-level position at the DOJ as associate deputy attorney general after his meetings with Simpson and British spy Christopher Steele, who assembled the Trump-Russia dossier, were discovered.
And why would Fusion GPS hire Nellie Ohr? Aside from the obvious connection to her DOJ husband who was in a position to provide Fusion GPS with information on Trump gathered by US intelligence agencies, Nellie Ohr also represented the CIA’s “Open Source Works” group in a 2010 “expert working group report on international organized crime” along with Bruce Ohr and Glenn Simpson.
The connections between Nellie Ohr and the ‘Spygate’ scandal were hidden at a distance for months.
As noted last week at TGP, Nellie Ohr is a Communist sympathizer connected to Russia as well as a corrupt Never-Trumper.
American Spectator recently posted an article on Nellie Ohr, who they call “the “dossier” spying scandal’s woman in the middle.”

Is it a surprise to find a Stalin apologist at the center of the Steele dossier scandal?

Excerpts:
Gotta hand it to Special Counsel Robert Mueller: He knows how to set off a stick of dynamite. I refer, of course, to his office’s recent indictment of thirteen Russians in Russia, which we are now to chase after, yelling “Pearl Harbor!” on the Left and “No collusion!” on the Right, forgetting all about the coalescing revelations of corruption and conspiracy and, yes, Russian influence, to elect Hillary Clinton in 2016, and, failing that, to destroy the Trump presidency.
The key is still in the “dossier” spying scandal.
Nellie Ohr is the “dossier” spying scandal’s woman in the middle.
…………………………………………………
I don’t take lightly the possibility that the anti-Trump conspirators have more in common with the old Kremlin than currently imagined — especially when we consider that Donald Trump, whether he or anyone else realizes it, is the most instinctively anti-communist president elected in generations.
One of the conventionally accepted underpinnings of the Trump-Russia “collusion” story is that Putin supported Trump over Clinton. The American Left insists Putin elected Trump; the American Right acknowledges Putin favored Trump. At this point, the only argument is over how much Putin’s alleged support for Trump mattered on Election Day.
Within this same false, in my view, context, there is cover even for felonious conspiratorial acts, even for domestic spying — hallmarks, of course, of anti-democratic dictatorships everywhere, including the old USSR and Russia today.
………………………………………………………..
Remember when the Soviet Union “vanished” in 1991? So, too, all of the experts told us, did its nasty communist strategies to destroy the United States and control the world. How marvelous it was, then, that Russia stopped running its Soviet-era intelligence armies and terror networks against us — except, of course, for CIA officer Aldrich Ames, who was arrested in 1994, three years after the “end” of the USSR, while working for a “defunct” KGB. Then there was Soviet-Russian spymaster Sergei Tretyakov, busily orchestrating old-time subversion against us until his defection in 2000. Oh, and don’t forget the FBI’s Robert Hanssen, dead-dropping away for the Kremlin until his shock-arrest in 2001. And what about FSB defector Alexander Litvinenko (poisoned in 2006 by polonium almost certainly on Putin’s orders) and his 2005 claims that Russian intelligence trained Ayman al-Zawaheri in 1998, before Zawaheri penetrated and later became head of Al Qaeda by 2011? And what about the East coast “illegals” network of fake Americans, arrested and quickly deported in 2010 so as not to short- circuit Obama’s Russian “reset”?
……………………………………………
Never one to save the republic instead of herself, Hillary Clinton “worked feverishly” to get these Russian agents deported before they could be adequately debriefed or otherwise exploited, as J. Michael Waller writes. Remember, June 2010 was a busy month for the Clintons: Rosatom was initiating its purchase of Uranium One; Bill Clinton was pocketing $500,000 from that KGB-linked Moscow bank, Renaissance Capital, which was “talking up” Uranium One shares (even as $145 million was sloshing into the Clinton Foundation); President Obama was pushing for Russian membership in the World Trade Organization, and all the “reset” rest. The exposure of a highly trained network of SVR operatives targeting Hillary Clinton among others could not have been more inconvenient. How do you say, “Get them out of here on the double” in Russian?
Looking back, I don’t recall FBI Director Mueller in a lather over this Russian “meddling,” or “influence” on the Obama administration. Last time I looked, he did not resign from his FBI directorship in protest of this crude administration cover-up, either. Maybe he was too busy hiding evidence from Congress of the so-called Mikerin probe, the investigation into a Russian bribery scheme to control an American uranium trucking firm, even as U.S. lawmakers were examining the proposed sale of Uranium One to the Russian government.
…………………………………………………
If I am correct, where does that leave this Russian-American disinformation campaign, paid for by the DNC/Clinton campaign, assisted in still-mysterious ways by Stalin apologist Ohr, now developing the rigor mortis of Washington conventional wisdom? Four legs good; two legs bad. Putin loves Trump, Putin hates Hillary — and here’s the “dossier” to prove it and “collusion,” too.
The answer requires more study, more investigation, more courage, and another question.
In the bad old days, the classic communist influence operation executed Kremlin strategy in Washington and elsewhere by deploying a lengthy chain of agents of influence and “trusted contacts,” fellow travelers and all-important dupes.
Are we looking at the 21st century model?

Special Report: Strzok Out, Ohr In
The Russian farce continues.

Excerpt:
……………………………….
The DOJ corruption on display here is staggering, and were the roles reversed, were it a Republican Justice Department spying on a Democratic presidential campaign (with, say, Lee Atwater calling Ed Meese’s deputy every month to check in on the spying), the Ohrs and Strzoks would be run out of DC on a rail. As it is, they can count on at least a few years of well-paid punditry at CNN and MSNBC. The ethos of official Washington supports all things dastardly toward Trump. Spy on him, tape him, raid his lawyer’s office, harass his family, fabricate stories about him — anything goes. He is to be treated, according to official Washington, like, or perhaps even worse than, a foreign occupier.
If James Comey deserves the gold medal for sanctimonious phoniness, Sally Yates surely deserves a silver. What a low, nasty partisan, who dressed up her vicious hack work for Hillary at Trump’s expense in the pompous garb of the “independence of the Justice Department.” Yates was engaged in nothing less than a three-stage coup against Trump: first, she joined Peter Strzok, Christopher Steele, and John Brennan in trying to “stop” Trump from winning; then, once he won, she allowed Ohr to continue collecting dirt from Steele in the hopes of preventing Trump’s inauguration (not to mention her entrapment of Michael Flynn, based on her Eddie Haskell-like concern about “Logan Act violations”); finally, once Trump did enter office, she used her Justice Department perch to defy his Travel ban, a ban that the Supreme Court has thoroughly vindicated. How are Yates and her pitiful subordinate Bruce Ohr any different from crooked officials in some Latin American banana republic?
Sometimes party and marital loyalty ask too much, Ohr may be muttering to himself these days. In pictures, he looks like a goofball and a geek, easily led by Yates and his wife, who was working alongside Hillary’s hatchet man at Fusion GPS, into partisan mischief.
The forthcoming Inspector General’s report about the Obama administration’s all-hands-on-deck espionage against Trump should be a doozy. One can only laugh at the exculpatory, “by the book,” note Susan Rice wrote to herself on Inauguration day, as she waited to see if her buddy Sally Yates might yet take Trump out. What book was Susan Rice referring to? Chairman Mao’s? She couldn’t have been referring to the DOJ’s ethics book. Ohr left that one in shreds, not only failing to report that his wife worked for the Hillary campaign (through Fusion GPS), but that he had used his job at DOJ for at least a year to serve as her opposition research team’s backchannel.
