I had to convert the TIFFs to JPEGSs in order for WordPress to display the files below:

Below is a cartoon rendering of Edward Rodwell (supplied by Bruce Steadman in a previous blog report) who worked for the Mombasa Times from 1933 thru 1955 and was the newspaper’s Editor from the year 1944 thru 1955 when he retired:
WOW! Your new ‘GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition’ video camera, which you described over on the Inspector Smith Forum, is very impressive in its capabilities.

Its audio and general video qualities both seem very good and I was especially impressed with its self-focusing and close-up sharp resolution capabilities. One could easily read the small print on the newspaper close-up shots.
Your topic covering the details explaining how to prepare a somewhat deteriorated newspaper page for laminating was interesting.
I also found the WW2-related subject matter covered in the 1944 Mombasa Times pages shown to be of particular interest. The British were heavily involved in the Mombasa area during WW2 as can be seen in the below linked post:

This fort is located on the south western end of Mombasa Island and covers both shipping channels to the Old Port at Fort Jesus and the newer Kilindini Port.
